Satay chicken traybake

Prepare in advance and freeze.

  • Serves 4
  • Less than 1 hour


  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • ½ cup (125ml) peanut butter
  • ½ cup (125ml) coconut milk
  • 3 Tbsp (45ml) soya sauce
  • 1 Tbsp (15ml) canola or peanut oil
  • 1 Tbsp (15ml) miso paste
  • 1 chicken braai pack
  • Salt and milled pepper
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) sesame seeds
  • Green veggies, for serving


  1. Combine spring onions, peanut butter, coconut milk, soya sauce, oil and miso paste.
  2. Place chicken in a baking dish, season lightly and coat with the sauce.
  3. Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and top with sesame seeds, then cook at 180°C for another 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Serve chicken with green veggies.
