Cremora tart

A delicious South African favourite!

  • Makes 1
  • Less than 2 hours


  • 1 pack (200g) tennis biscuits
  • ⅓ cup (80g) butter, softened
  • 1 packet (250g) Cremora
  • 1 can (385g) condensed milk
  • 1 cup (250ml) lemon juice
  • Whipped cream, for serving
  • Glacé cherries, for serving


  1. Crush biscuits, add butter and mix.
  2. Press into the base of a 25cm tart dish.
  3. Dissolve Cremora in 1 cup (250ml) lukewarm water. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Mix in condensed milk.
  5. Stir through 125ml lemon juice. The mixture will start to thicken.
  6. Add remaining lemon juice.
  7. Pour filling over base and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
  8. Serve with whipped cream or glacé cherries.
