Apple roses

An easy teatime delight.

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

  1. Roll out puff pastry to 3mm thick. Cut into 45x7cm strips.
  2. Brush butter and sprinkle sugar onto pastry.
  3. Core, quarter and thinly slice apples.
  4. Place slices on one side of pastry, overlapping and skin-side hanging over pastry. Fold over pastry to cover apple, then roll into a scroll. Repeat.
  5. Place in a muffin tray. Bake at 190°C for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Serve.
