  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. Mix flour, butter and castor sugar into fine crumbs.

  3. Stir through buttermilk to form a batter.

  4. Mix together apples and frozen berries.

  5. Place in an ovenproof dish and dollop with batter.

  6. Bake until cooked through and golden. Serve with custard.
