Usage
Directions for use (based on a 50 000L pool): To increase total alkalinity (TA). 1 kg of HTH® alkalinity up should raise the TA by approximately 10 ppm. 1. To prevent possible staining from metals that may be present in your water, add 1 bottle of HTH® metal remover - follow label directions. 2. Adjust pH to 7.2 using HTH® easy acid or HTH® dry acid. 3. With the pump off, add 1 kg of HTH® alkalinity up to one spot of the deep end of the pool. 4. Leave the pump off for 15 minutes. 5. Switch the pump on and continue with normal filtration. 6. After 12 hours, check the TA level. 7. If necessary, repeat the process of adding HTH® alkalinity up until the ideal range is reached. Basic pool care: Maintain levels: To prevent damage to linings & fittings. pH 7.2-7.6. Total alkalinity (TA) 80-120ppm. Stabiliser <50 ppm. Chlorine 1-3 ppm. Copper/iron 0. Filter: Filtering may vary due to pool volume and pump/filter throughput. Summer 12 hours per night. Winter 6-8 hours per night. Backwash every 2 weeks or when automatic pool cleaner becomes sluggish. Rinse after backwashing. Remove debris: Clean pump & weir basket. Brush pool walls & floors. Repeat weekly.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.

Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Sodium Bicarbonate

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children. Never mix with any substance other than water. Total alkalinity (TA) indicates the amount of alkali materials in the water and the degree of resistance to pH change in the pool water. TA should be kept between 80 - 120 ppm. Check and adjust the TA at the beginning of the season. Check monthly and adjust if necessary. First aid: On skin: brush off excess chemicals and rinse with water. Inhaled: remove person to fresh air. In eyes: flush with cold water. Seek medical attention. If swallowed: drink water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
